wow wow wow – I’m really really over the moon to find out Squeaky Beats radio show has been chosen for the shortlist for best radio show at Breakspoll 2009!!! This is a real honor to be be in the same list of some of the big guys like Radio One and Kiss FM… 
It would be amazing to be one of the actual nominations so please everyone get their clicky happy and vote for me

Hey All – Another (sq)week comes to a close.. which can only mean one thing
Squeaky Beats – Your official Weekend warm up
Friday 10th October 8-10 pm on brap fm
This week I am lucky to have the very sexy splarty Little Jo (Phina)
coming down to the Squeaky HQ from Northampton
If you’ve not experienced Little Jo yet you’ve been missing out!
She caught my eye at Herbal with a cracking set and we’ve been in touch ever since
Jo is 26 and originally fromCoventry, and fresh out of Northampton University
where she studied media and popular culture.
A talented producer and DJ with a friendly personality to boot.
Did I mention she was gorgeous? Some people have all the luck!
If she had to describe her music she would use the words leccy/techy/breaky
and will even be honouring us with some of her new tracks
(produced as part of a final project at university!)
“Pioneering good music regardless of genre Little Jo is one who doesn’t like to be pinned down. In 2007 she released her Debut EP, a warped 3 track release taking you from rock influenced guitars through to stomping breaks and minimal bleeps, getting 6/8 in M8 magazine.
Jo’s DJ sets feature much of the same, depending on the venue and crowd, and this diversity has landed her gigs at some of London’s best known clubs including Turnmills, Herbal, Inigo, Babalou, the Whitehouse, Ministry, and The Cross. Her energy behind the decks is contagious and as a result she reached the final of the widely publicised hotbox DJ competition, and round 4 of the D-Joust.
Her own club night Amplitude has also been growing from strength to strength at their parties across London and Northampton, playing the best in dirty beats. She’s now just about to graduate with a music degree and has new material planned for release this summer under her new Phina project, with plans to eventually take this on a live tour…”
